International School Meals Day 5th March

International School Meals Day is coming to a school near you!

The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of good food and nutrition amongst school age children. They encourage all nations and schools to participate on a fun filled day celebrating the wonder of food and to engage in awareness to healthy eating. This is their third event, and this year schools and classrooms are being encouraged to connect with other schools around the world to share their food stories. Visit their website for more details on how to get involved and connect with teachers and classrooms around the world.

You can contribute to this fantastic day by making a healthy dinner dish, something that the children can also get involved in! Look out for our tasty quick recipe that we will be posting a few days before so you can be prepared for the day!

Casa Grande, the first Organic Pasta in the UK!

Casa Grande Artisan Pasta, one of the inaugural signatories of the Good Food in Greenwich charter, and an amazing couple devoted to excellent quality food are delighted to announce that they have achieved Organic status,  certified by the Soil Association. Welcome to Good Food in Greenwich

In 2013 the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) in a partnership bid led by Greenwich Cooperative Development Agency, was selected as a founding member of the UK-wide Sustainable Food Cities Network.

This was in recognition of the huge amount of work being done in the RBG to make healthy and sustainable food one of its defining characteristics.

We want Greenwich to be known as a great place for good food by all who live, study, work or visit here. By celebrating our rich diversity through vibrant food markets, festivals, catering and businesses, we will grow, produce, prepare and share good food that is healthy, sustainable, affordable and accessible to all.
